The Astronomical Society in Jeddah revealed the details of an astronomical phenomenon in the sky of the Arab world and the world, represented in the passage of Jupiter near the sky sun this Saturday evening.

And the Jeddah Astronomical Society indicated that Jupiter will be on the far side of the solar system for us from Earth as well as at the farthest point at a distance of 893,099,288 km (since the two planets are on opposite sides of the solar system).
And she continued: If Jupiter can be spotted could be observed at this time, its apparent size would be small, with a diameter of 31.3 arc seconds, and it would be faint due to the large distance.
Over the following weeks, Jupiter will gradually reappear in the dawn sky, and after about 6 months it will reach the opposite state where it will be visible all night at that time.
And the Jeddah Astronomical Society warned against trying to use binoculars or telescopes to monitor Jupiter at the present time due to its proximity to the sun, and this is dangerous because the sun may become in the field of view of these devices, which may cause eye damage

كشفت الجمعية الفلكية بجدة تفاصيل ظاهرة فلكية تشهدها سماء الوطن العربي والعالم، تتمثل في مرور كوكب المشتري بالقرب من الشمس مساء اليوم السبت.
وقالت الجمعية، عبر صفحتها الرسمية على فيسبوك، إن كوكب المشتري يمر بالقرب من الشمس -من منظورنا على الأرض- عند الساعة 04:55 مساءً بتوقيت مكة (01:55 مساءً بتوقيت جرينتش) وسيفصل بينهما 0°58' وهذا سيجعله غير مرصود تماما لعدة أسابيع حيث سيكون مطموسا في وهج الشمس.
وأوضحت الجمعية الفلكية بجدة أن المشتري سيكون في الجانب البعيد من النظام الشمسي بالنسبة لنا من الأرض وكذلك في أبعد نقطة على مسافة 893,099,288 كم (نظرًا لأن الكوكبين على جانبين متقابلين من النظام الشمسي).
وتابعت: إذا كان يمكن رصد كوكب المشتري في هذا الوقت سيكون حجمه الظاهري صغيرا ويبلغ قطره 31.3 ثانية قوسية وسيكون خافتا نظرا للمسافة الكبيرة.
وخلال الأسابيع التالية، سيعود كوكب المشتري للظهور من جديد تدريجيا في سماء الفجر، وبعد حوالي 6 أشهر سيصل إلى حالة التقابل حيث سيكون مرئيا طوال الليل في ذلك الوقت.
وحذرت الجمعية الفلكية بجدة، من محاولة استخدام المنظار أو التلسكوب لرصد المشتري في الوقت الحالي نظرا لقربة من الشمس وهذا خطير لأن الشمس قد تصبح في مجال رؤية تلك الأجهزة ما قد يتسبب بأضرار العين
